Girls Just Wanna Have Fun... Too!

Does it seem like women have an "ax" to grind? Los Angeles musician Tish Ciravolo certainly did -- her electric bass guitar. But when it came to finding miniature model for her two young daughters to play, the shelves were empty. After a creative doodling session, Ciravolo came up with the idea of colorful daisy- and heart-shaped guitars that would be constructed 40 percent smaller, to the scale of a young girl\'s body. She pitched the idea to the president of Schecter Guitar Research -- her husband, Michael -- and the Daisy Rock Girl Guitar Company was born. Ciravolo\'s guitars have attracted the attention of NBC\'s Today Show and Time, Newseek, People and Guitar World magazines, not to mention a who\'s who roster of rockers, including Michelle Branch, Lisa Loeb and even Robert Smith of The Cure.
