Daisy Rock Sponsors Women In Rock Showcase

Daisy Rock is proud to announce the arrival of the nationally acclaimed Women In Rock Showcase at The Cutting Room (19 W. 24th Street) on Wednesday, February 12th from 7:00 to 10:00pm in lower Manhattan’s Flatiron District.

The lineup for the big event is:

(9:00) Iridesense (Long Island) is a four-piece pop-rock band led by Tara Eberle on bass and vocals and brother Rick Eberle on guitar and vocals. Formed in 1993, they have become one of Long Island’s top Pop/Rock artists. They have performed with such acts as Sugar Ray, Nine Days, and Modern English, with regular appearances at The Mercury Lounge, The Bitter End, and CBGB’s.

(8:15) Nicola (NYC) Former “Les Miserables” Broadway performer, Nicola, backed by Julio Rosaly on bass, and Rob Williams on drums, returns to ignite the Cutting Room stage with an intense blend of urban alternative, fiery rock and intensely passionate soul music. She has shared stages with Ricky Martin, Shanice, Muzz Skillings of “Living Colour” and toured extensively, appearing live on radio stations like WLIR, WFDU & Metro-TV, while continuing to rise up the charts on Billboard.

(7:45) Sam Shaber (Manhattan) has been a finalist in both The USA Songwriting Competition and The John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Sam has been touring nationally for five years, and is now promoting her album, “Eighty Numbered Streets”, produced by Shawn Mullins. Her songs, while firmly rooted in the singer-songwriter genre, are tempered with rock while displaying an appealingly understated grasp of soul and mid-sixties R&B. Her music is honest, descriptive, and urban-fueled.

(7:00) The Alice Project (New Jersey) is a USA Songwriting Competition finalist that features the smart and melodic songwriting talents of Alice Leon. Their music is delicious and has been compared to Aimee Mann, Jill Sobule, Sheryl Crow, and Paul McCartney.
