Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Katelynn Tomney to its Artist Roster

LOS ANGELES, CA – October 25, 2012
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl guitar company, welcomes to its artist roster Katelynn Tomney, a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and music teacher from New York City.

Katelynn Tomney’s songwriting style is influenced by soul, jazz, and blues, with Jeff Buckley as her favorite artist of all time. “What inspires me to write is beyond a desire. It is something my heart wills me to do, whether I am happy or sad, no matter what my emotion is,” says Katelynn. “Whenever I have to express myself I always have music as that outlet, and I feel it is important for young girls to have this emotional outlet growing up.”

Katelynn plays in an acoustic duo with vocals, piano, and guitar at a variety of places in and around New York City. She most recently played at The Living Room, The Delancey, Tammany Hall, UC lounge, Bar East, Red Star, Lucky Jacks, Cafe Vivaldi, and the Waltz-Astoria. In addition to performing, she teaches music for the NYC public schools.

Currently, Katelynn is rehearsing and recording her first EP with Kate and the Kings as the lead singer and electric guitarist.

“Wow, if you’re in the mood to be emotionally driven with a mesmerizing, soulful voice, then listen to Katelynn right now!  She nails it. I just want to light candles and take a bubble bath and listen to her sing while playing guitar and think, wistfully, of all the love lost in my life,” says Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.

Check out Katelynn’s music on her website and on YouTube.
