Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Kate Nash to Artist Roster

Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl-guitar company, welcomes English singer-songwriter Kate Nash to its artist roster.

Nash started her career in 2005. Her debut single, “Caroline’s a Victim”/”Birds”, was released in limited copies but high demand and quickly sold out. In April 2007, Nash was signed to the Polydor offshoot, Fiction Records. Her second single “Foundations” reached number two in the official UK Singles Chart. Nash has been the creator of 3 successful albums, including Made of Bricks, My Best Friend Is You, and most recently, Girl Talk, released March 4, 2013. Her sound has been described as having a Motown influence, similar to that of Diana Ross and the Supremes.

“Daisy Rock is doing absolutely amazing things for the music industry and the girls that want to be a part of it,” says Nash. “Apart from being the nicest human being ever, Tish Ciravolo is changing the world, one guitar at a time.”

Nash has performed at numerous festivals, including the Wireless Festival, Bestival, Electric Gardens, Glastonbury, Latitude, Reading and Leeds, Oxegen, and T in the Park. Her first North American tour kicked off with the all-female traveling festival Lilith Fair. In 2011, her music brought her to Brazil, where she performed concerts in Circo Voador, Rio de Janeiro, and Sao Paulo. Her “Faster Pussycat Run Run Tour” played 12 shows across the UK during June 2012. Most recently, Nash performed a headline show as part of the NME Awards Shows 2013 at the Sebright Arms in London.

“Kate is the messiah of girl power rock pop. She’s the only artist I know that encourages girls to jump on stage and totally rock out with her! Her live shows are amazing just by the sheer fact that she unabashedly is unselfish in giving her everything, every night at every show. If you want to witness first-hand how girls can rule the rock world, go see Kate Nash. You will walk away knowing that whoever tried to make this thing called music a guy thing, got it wrong…really, really wrong. This is a girl thing and Kate Nash is the proof. She has the talent that will make every girl on the face of this planet want to play music and isn’t that what we all want? Welcome to family, Kate – we heart you!”, says Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.
