Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Christen Cole to its Artist Roster

LOS ANGELES, CA – September 13, 2012
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl guitar company, welcomes to its artist roster Christen Cole, the multi-talented singer/songwriter that challenges the limits of music.

Christen pushes the boundary of the “girl with a guitar” stereotype as she plays her own acoustic guitar parts live and in the studio, rubbing elbows with some of Nashville’s finest musicians. As Christen has immersed herself in the music of her heroes, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and the Moody Blues, she has come to the conclusion that their music is timeless because it is not married to a particular genre.

In 2010, Christen signed with E B Records, owned by veteran Nashville-based recording engineer/producer Bret Teegarden who, just like Christen also, believes that music should be brought back to its original purpose of creating art. Each cut on her debut EP Just Walk Away was produced with the song as the focus with no preconceived notions of style. Christen’s songs weave a tapestry of emotions and ideas into a catchy, singable work of art that appeals to all ages.

Christen frequently collaborates with other artists, and currently plays guitar and sings background vocals for Alex Maddox and Elle Maze. She is also a worship leader at Brentwood United Methodist Church, one of the largest Methodist churches in the nation at 8,000 members. The requests began to pile in for a worship album, so Christen went back into the studio again with Bret Teegardento release To the World in early 2012.

Christen takes her music beyond lines of culture and time as she is a part-time missionary with the organization Restore Haiti. She was connected with her "second family" in her “second home,” Jacmel, Haiti before the January 2010 earthquake and is currently turning her idea to build an orphanage there into a plan.

“Spiritual, yes!  Christen will move your spirit in ways you haven’t heard before when you listen to her play and sing. We feel very blessed that she is in our Daisy Rock family,” says Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder, Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.
