Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Amanda and Travis Marsh to its Artist Roster

LOS ANGELES, CA – January 24, 2013
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl guitar company, welcomes to its artist roster siblings Amanda and Travis Marsh, together making up the musical duo Nightsky Drive.

Amanda (singer-songwriter) and Travis (guitar) create a sound with elements of rock, country, pop, and indie rock. They first realized their potential as a duo with the release of Amanda’s 2009 debut EP, Love Is In the Details. The EP received a Mavric Music Award for “Song of the Year: Collaboration,” and paved the way for performances at Austin’s South by South West festival and the Country Music Association’s Music Fest. This year, Nightsky Drive opened up for solo country artist Collin Raye on his tour through California.

Amanda cites bands like Fleetwood Mac and Lady Antebellum as influential in the style of music that she and Travis make, pointing out the success both bands have had incorporating male and female vocals. Musically, nothing is off limits when it comes to the creative process for the pair of siblings. Their eclectic variety of influences makes it difficult to pigeonhole their sound or style, something that they both attribute to their strong, yet opposite personalities.

“Sometimes you just gotta sign the sister and the brother, their sound is that entwined! Their emotional attachment as siblings projects and transcends right through their music and makes it sound like something that only that kind of connection can create,” says Tish Ciravolo, President and Founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.
