Guitarist Kelly Johnson of Girlschool was a legend in her own time. Releasing multiple albums, each with numerous top ten hits, and touring with bands like Motorhead and Black Sabbath, Kelly will forever be remembered for her contributions to the music industry and to the world. Kelly passed away this past Sunday.

Daisy Rock founder Tish Ciravolo had this to say: "Rock has lost one of the founding woman guitar players in history, Kelly Johnson of Girlschool. Kelly passed away July 15th, 2007 after a six year battle with cancer of the spine. She will be greatly missed by everyone at Daisy Rock Guitars and in the music industry. Our thoughts and condolences are with her friends and family."
