Tish Ciravolo Speaks at UW Oshkosh
Los Angeles, CA—June 9th, 2014
Tish Ciravolo, president and founder of Daisy Rock Guitars, recently spoke at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. The speaking engagement, hosted by the UW Oshkosh’s music department in May, served to inspire students pursuing music careers and provide insight to the music industry from an insider’s perspective.
Ciravolo delivered a presentation on the topic of entrepreneurship in music. She used her first-hand experience of starting Daisy Rock Girl Guitars to provide real world examples to the class.
“I started Daisy Rock Girl Guitars to create and distribute products that were not available—guitars made just for girls. Everyone said I was insane to think that girls would want to play guitars but the ladies have spoken and they want to rock, too!” says Ciravolo. “It is such a joy to encourage the next generation of entrepreneurs by sharing Daisy Rock Girl Guitars’ story and being living proof that you can find success by identifying an underserved market and serving it.”
The students, as well as the faculty, appreciated Ciravolo’s lecture. Paula Brasky, Lecturer of Music Business at UW Oshkosh, said, “Tish was incredible! I greatly appreciate her taking the time to speak to my students. They were so inspired.”
