Daisy Rock Guitars is pleased to announce that Siuan, Shannon and Brooke of The Renders have signed up as new Daisy Rock artist endorsers.
The Renders are an all-girl, alternative/indie rock band from Los Angeles, CA. With a sound that has been compared to the likes of Weezer, Green Day, Nirvana, The Ramones and The Pixies, the band has been steadily racking up a slew of fans and accomplishments in their short time together. In early 2005, they were featured on the Oxygen Channel\'s "Mr Romance" TV show. Using a home computer, they recorded and released (completely DIY) a 5-song EP called "Hi-Res." Subsequently, "Earring Song" received airplay on L.A radio station Indie 103.1. "Cheerleader in Vintage" was voted "pop punk song of the day" on garageband.com and the song "Rewind" was recently used in a video about surfer girl Kim Mayer (www.jettygirl.com ). You can also hear their music on many internet radio stations, including mohawkradio.com and surfngarage.com. They have graced the stages of many L.A. clubs making multiple appearances at the very popular "New Wave Night" at the Derby and "Sink or Swim" at Mr. T\'s Bowl. They were also selected to take part in the GoGirls Music Fest.
Guitarist/songwriter and lead vocalist Siuan is originally from Dublin, Ireland. After studying math and philosophy in college, she worked briefly in engineering at NASA. She also worked in visual effects, moving to New Zealand to work on Lord of the Rings. Her distinct voice has been compared to Chrissie Hynde and is known for a unique lyric-writing style.
Lead Guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Brooke brings infectious, crunchy guitar parts paired with haunting vocal harmonies. Brooke is originally from New York, though she has lived in Florida and also attended college in the south.
Bassist Shannon brings the sweetest demeanor, perfect manners and steadiest time to The Renders line-up. She is a graduate of the Musician\'s Institute (in the bass program) and lists folk and blues as influences.
