The National Guitar Workshop and Daisy Rock Guitars sponsored three girls to attend the highly acclaimed DayJams program at Marymount High School in Bel-Air California from June 16–27. The DayJams program teaches students the techniques needed to play the music they love—rock ‘n’ roll! Each camper formed a band, chose a name, wrote an original song, designed T-shirts, posters and CD cover art, performed in a concert and record a CD. Kayla DeGunya (bass), Stephanie Alvarado (guitar) and Jennifer Alvarado (guitar) each received a full scholarship covering 100% of the tuition for the week-long program and a beautiful Daisy Rock guitar. The girls were chosen in association with the Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles. Rock on girls!
