Daisy Rock Girl Guitars Welcomes Band, Charlie Belle, to its Artist Roster
Daisy Rock Girl Guitars, the original girl guitar company, welcomes to its artist roster the band Charlie Belle.
Originally from the Philadelphia area, Charlie Belle is an indie-pop U-18 band, based in Austin, TX. Their popularity grew after being featured in USA Today’s Pop Candy column, which highlighted their rendition of the song “Strange Powers” for the promotion of the documentary Strange Powers: Stephin Merritt and the Magnetic Fields. Consisting of brother and sister duo Jendayi (guitar and lead vocals) and Gyasi (back-up vocals and drums) and Zoe (bassist), Charlie Bell is part of the new generation of Austin live music. In 2012, Charlie Belle made their national festival debut at The Austin City Limits Music Festival. They are an annual fixture at internationally known SXSW and regularly play many of the popular Austin Clubs.
“You know that spinny thing you used to go on at the park when you were a kid? It made you all smiles and bouncy and you felt young with the wind blowing in your face? Throw in some witty, lyrical moments and some poppy music and that’s how Charlie Belle will make you feel, all over again!” says Tish Ciravolo, President and founder of Daisy Rock Girl Guitars.
